About this spot
Castlegregory Beach is located on the northern side of the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry, in the South West of Ireland. Castlegregory Beach is a sandy beach, facing north-east into Tralee Bay. It is largely sheltered from severe wave activity and from the prevailing winds, which tend to be south westerly, by virtue of its orientation and the fact that the Maharees Peninsula (which extends into Tralee Bay) is situated to the north. The strand is popular with bathers and walkers. Public car-parking and public conveniences (bathing season only) are provided immediately adjacent to the bathing area.
